Universities and colleges

There are 7 public universities in Malawi divided over the 4 cities in Malawi and 1 in Thyolo:

Chancellor College University in Zomba
Bunda College University in Lilongwe
Kamuzu College of Nursing University in Lilongwe
Polytechnic University in Blantyre
College of Medicin University in Blantyre
Mzuzu University in Mzuzu
MuST University in Thyolo

After a student has finished secondary school they can apply for a university or college. The government will make the selection. To be selected for one of the universities on average boys need to score 15 points or lower and girls around 18 points or lower.
